    LittleBIGPlanet

Playstation 3 owners, this is the game you've been waiting for. All the money you spent on a sleek black box that plays your FPS's and... yup, that's pretty much it, will finally go towards a a game that will finally take advantage of the Playstation network. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you LittleBIGPlanet.

Revolutionizing online collaborative play, LBP can only be described as a massively multiplayer online cooperative game. Games like Halo 3 and GTA4 caused the XBOX Live network to go down (taking the website with it) because of the unprecedented online traffic. I believe LBP will be the PS3's first chance to test their network's infrastructure.

I had access to the beta for a few days and this is what I saw. There is a local narrative campaign that is mostly an instructional tutorial that includes a delightful narrator who reminds me of the voice from the recent Hitchhiker's film. It was limited and didn't let me go far, but the main goal is to collect candy-like things and additional items to use on your character and the environments. It's entirely a platform "from point A to point B" game, so gameplay is very straightforward. The online portion allows you to experience other players' creations, including riding a powered skateboard past a bunch of musical sensors that play "Sweet Child of Mine".

If you own a PS3, this is the game that will make your ownership complete. Send me a message and we can ragdoll around.
